Nintendo DS? opinions and answers needed...? Hey guys so i had a black DS lite around a year ago but found i didn't use it enough so i sold it to a friend for a good price. Now a year on, i find myself bored and missing the nintendo style games that x box 360 can't offer me such as pokemon, mario etc.

Ive been browsing through Ebay to find a cheap used console or even an original big DS. What do you guys think? wise choice if i can find one for around $50? Any tricks or tips on owning a ds? or do you think im a lil old? (15)

PS: Im not interested in the DSi at all.

for most electronics, it is best to be able to try it out before purchasing. With Ebay, you never really know the condition of the item until you get it, and in some cases, you cannot return it. You can use Craigslist to find a game console on sale near you, go to their house (or meet them somewhere), and make sure it is in good condition before buying. Also, when you meet the seller face to face, it is easier to negotiate the price. And if you are 15, be sure to bring along a parent or friend, just in case. As for $50, a fair deal, especially if it is in good condition, but make sure everything works!

I'm not too much of a DS fan, I like PSPs better. If you can get a PSP, it is possible to get an emulator and/or hacked firmware online, and play pokemon, mario, and other gameboy games, but you still can't play DS games.
Good luck!
